Community Guidelines

Last Updated: February 15, 2025

Welcome to Crater Crash Studios! Our mission is to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging community where everyone can connect, share ideas, and collaborate. While open discussions are encouraged across our platforms, we've established guidelines to ensure that interactions stay respectful and constructive. These principles reflect our core values and help maintain the integrity of our community spaces.

By using our community hubs, including but not limited to forums, Subreddit, and Discord, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Community Guidelines. Your participation signifies your commitment to maintaining a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for all members.

1. Respect Others

All members are expected to treat one another with kindness, courtesy, and respect. Discrimination, harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks of any kind are strictly prohibited. This includes derogatory language or slurs based on race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability, as well as inflammatory or intentionally rude comments directed at individuals or groups. Creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all members is essential to maintaining the integrity of our community.

2. Keep Content Relevant

All discussions and content shared within our community hubs should align with the purpose of the platform and the topic of the conversation. Off-topic discussions, irrelevant posts, and unrelated content may be removed to maintain focus and clarity. This includes avoiding the promotion of unrelated products or services, personal projects not relevant to the community, and content that distracts from the intended use of the platform. Keeping conversations relevant ensures that the community remains valuable and engaging for everyone involved.

2.1 Meme Channel

The meme channel in our Discord is dedicated exclusively to sharing clean, harmless memes that are Safe for Work (SFW). Memes must not contain political content, religious themes, sexual explicitness, rage bait, advertisements, or any content intended to provoke or offend. Additionally, this channel is not intended to be an off-topic chat space. It is strictly for sharing lighthearted, inclusive humor and must not be used for unrelated discussions or purposes. Please respect these guidelines to keep the channel focused and enjoyable for everyone.

2.2 Showcase Channel

The Showcase channel is exclusively for sharing progress and updates on games being developed using Orchestrator. Only projects that utilize Orchestrator are permitted to be showcased in this space. While sharing the name of your game and a relevant Steam link is allowed, this channel is not intended as a space for advertisements or promotional content unrelated to Orchestrator-based projects. Games that are NSFW or centered around illegal, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate content are strictly prohibited. Please ensure your posts remain focused on sharing your development journey in a way that aligns with our community values and celebrates your work within the context of our tools.

2.3 Video Ideas Channel

The Video Ideas channel has been created as a dedicated space for sharing and discussing video ideas specifically related to Orchestrator. This channel is intended solely for brainstorming, organizing, and suggesting content that supports Orchestrator. It is not meant to be used for unrelated conversations or off-topic discussions. Please respect the purpose of this channel to ensure it remains focused and productive for its intended use.

3. No Spamming or Self-Promotion

Spamming and self-promotion are not allowed in our community hubs. This includes excessive posting of repetitive messages, irrelevant advertisements, or unsolicited promotion of products, services, discord servers, other Subreddits, or personal projects that are not directly related to Crater Crash Studios or its brands, such as Orchestrator. Sharing links or content is permitted only if it aligns with the topic of discussion and contributes meaningfully to the community. Any attempts to use our platforms for free advertising or disruptive behavior will be removed to maintain the integrity of the space.

4. Protect Privacy

Respecting the privacy of all members is a fundamental rule of our community. Do not share personal or sensitive information—whether your own or someone else's—on any of our platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, full names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, private conversations, or any other personally identifiable details. Additionally, do not attempt to solicit private information from others. Protecting privacy helps ensure the safety and security of all community members, and violations of this rule will be taken seriously.

5. Follow Platform-Specific Rules

Each of our community hubs, including but not limited to our forums, Subreddit, and Discord, may have additional rules and guidelines specific to that platform. These must be followed alongside the general community guidelines. This includes adhering to designated topics within specific channels, using appropriate tags or flairs where applicable, and respecting the unique structure of each platform. Before posting, take a moment to familiarize yourself with any platform-specific expectations to ensure a smooth and organized experience for everyone.

6. Constructive Feedback

Feedback is encouraged, but it must be given in a constructive and respectful manner. Criticism should focus on improvement and be presented in a way that is helpful rather than harmful. Avoid overly negative, hostile, or dismissive comments that do not contribute to meaningful discussion. Instead of tearing down ideas, offer suggestions on how they can be refined or improved. Discussions should foster growth, collaboration, and problem-solving rather than creating hostility or discouragement.

7. No Illegal, Inappropriate, or Controversial Content

Posting, sharing, or discussing illegal or inappropriate content is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, pirated software, illegal activities, explicit or NSFW material, violent or graphic content, and anything that violates copyright laws. Additionally, discussions related to politics, religion, or other controversial topics are not allowed. These subjects often lead to divisive and unproductive debates that detract from the purpose of our community. Content that promotes hate speech, discrimination, or offensive material is also strictly forbidden. Our goal is to maintain a positive, inclusive, and focused environment for all members, and any violations of this rule may result in immediate action.

8. No Toxicity – Maintain a Positive and Respectful Community

Crater Crash Studios is a toxicity-free zone. Hostile, aggressive, or intentionally disruptive behavior will not be tolerated in any of our community hubs. This includes, but is not limited to, insults, passive-aggressiveness, belittling, gatekeeping, excessive negativity, or purposely stirring up conflict. Healthy discussions and disagreements are welcome, but they must remain respectful and constructive. If your behavior contributes to a hostile or unwelcoming environment, action will be taken. Our community should be a space where everyone feels safe to participate without fear of being attacked or demeaned.

9. Report Issues Appropriately

If you encounter a problem, such as a rule violation, inappropriate behavior, or concerning content, report it to the moderators instead of engaging in arguments or handling it yourself. Use the appropriate reporting tools available on each platform, or directly contact a moderator for assistance. Publicly calling out or escalating conflicts within the community is discouraged, as it often leads to unnecessary drama and disruption. Moderators are here to ensure a fair and respectful environment, and addressing issues through the proper channels helps maintain the integrity of our community. Any actions taken against rule violators will not be shared with the reporter. This policy is in place to minimize drama, prevent speculation, and maintain a fair and neutral moderation process. Trust that moderators will address issues appropriately to uphold a positive and respectful community.

10. Follow Moderator Instructions

Moderators are responsible for maintaining a fair, respectful, and organized community. If a moderator issues a request, warning, or decision, members are expected to comply. This includes moving discussions to the appropriate channels, ceasing disruptive behavior, or adjusting content that violates community guidelines. If you disagree with a moderation decision, handle it through the appropriate channels rather than arguing publicly. Repeated failure to follow moderator instructions may result in further action, including temporary or permanent removal from the community. Moderators are here to ensure a positive experience for everyone, and their guidance should be respected.

By participating in any Crater Crash Studios community hub, you agree to follow these rules. Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, depending on the severity of the infraction. We reserve the right to change our community guidelines at anytime. Together, let's create an engaging, safe, and inclusive space for everyone!
